Buying and activating are different steps
A completed online purchase does not mean every transport ticket is already active. Some products require an exchange or activation procedure. Read the confirmation for your exact ticket format and follow the operator’s validation instructions before boarding. Keep proof of the valid ticket available during the journey.
Match the ticket to the operator
ACTV city transport, Alilaguna airport boats, private transfers and sightseeing operators have different tickets. Check the operator name and covered journey before joining a queue. A QR code is a ticket format, not a universal pass for every Venice boat.
Treat luggage as part of the booking
Check the number and size of bags permitted by the selected product. Large suitcases can make public boarding and the final walk awkward; a taxi still has capacity limits. If travelling with oversized items, a wheelchair or a stroller, confirm the arrangement directly before buying.
Changes, weather and late arrival
Each option has its own cancellation and missed-departure conditions. Do not assume that rain creates a refund or that a missed departure can be exchanged. Follow the provider’s contact instructions if plans change. Keep the final total, selected option and booking terms together when comparing products.
