Choose the San Marco area stop
Alilaguna’s Blue Line lists San Zaccaria and San Marco among its stops. These names describe different landings, not a single interchangeable entrance to every hotel. Use the operator map together with your accommodation’s walking directions to choose the practical arrival point.
Do not confuse the boat networks
The airport water bus and the ACTV vaporetto network are separate services. Buying a city transport pass does not automatically buy the airport boat. If you intend to use both during your stay, treat them as two decisions and check the inclusions of any bundled option carefully.
When a water taxi makes sense
A taxi can be useful for a group with luggage or a hotel with convenient water access. Shared taxis and private taxis are distinct purchases. Check the arrival arrangements, group capacity and landing restrictions. A hotel in San Marco may still require a short walk from the nearest feasible pier.
Build a realistic arrival day
A flight arrival time is not a boat departure time. Account for baggage, the walk to the dock and any check-in instructions. Choose a flexible first activity and place the fixed museum or performance booking later, after you have reached your accommodation.
